However, all too often good news stories from schools are never reported in the press.
Many schools do all they can to inform parents of their achievements, but without specialist media knowledge and with limited time to push for more publicity, schools do not always hit the headlines when they should.
Education Reporter is offering schools a unique chance to subscribe to an annual service dedicated to celebrating your school's success in the media
Your press relations will be handled by a fully qualified journalist with specialist education knowledge.
Two unique packages are on offer:
Basic package
Education Reporter will craft and circulate one press release per term to all major media outlets in the UK – including national newspapers and magazines - outlining some of the school’s outstanding achievements. Alongside this, your school will be able to post any story on the Education Reporter website free-of-charge. Education Reporter will also write one short story for the school website every month and your school can contact Education Reporter for advice on a pro-active press matter at any time.
Premium package
Education Reporter will update your website once a week with news from your school, as well as circulate any news you request - including photographs - to major media outlets in the UK. This also includes access to the Education Reporter website as outlined above. Education Reporter will also write opinion pieces on the school’s behalf for major publications – such as the education section of the Western Mail. Education Reporter will also craft or sub-edit any major marketing material the school wishes to send to a third party as well as advise on press relations.
